We’ll be down at Queens Square in Hastings this Wednesday from 5pm - 7.30pm with a special surprise… we’ve got our friends from @berrysaucey coming down too! Have you seen what deliciousness they are bringing to the Hawkes Bay summer scene? 🍓🍫❤️ We can’t wait to try! Dumplings, steamed buns and noodles followed by strawberry’s covered in @whittakersnz chocolate. We just don’t think you can beat that combo? Who’s coming down to see us? Time for a little story telling. Why the name, som

Time for a little story telling. Why the name, some might ask? Well, we wanted something unique, memorable and a bit quirky. We thought on this for quite some time. A bit of background - we have two pooches, Dexter & Dalton. One of Dexters nicknames over the years was ‘peg leg’ because he would wake up in the morning all stiff and stretch out his tired bones and walk off with a limp like he was a pirate with a wooden leg. One of Daltons nicknames was ‘pickle sticks’ we can’t actually recall how that one came about, but it stuck better than his actual name in the end. We were sitting there one night pondering various names and mashing things together when we thought of ‘Peg & Pickle’ … there’s a ring to that! While some mistakenly call us ‘Pig & Pickle’ or ‘The Pig & Whistle’ (no, we’re not an Irish pub 🤣), we’re thrilled our chosen name stands out just the way we envisioned. 🥟👏🏼
